3. The Smart Control App

Smart Control does not process any personal data.

The app works entirely locally on your home network and without an internet connection. No user data is collected, stored, or transmitted to third parties.

The following data is stored locally on your device only:

  • Configuration data (KNX gateway IP, port)
  • Rooms and devices you create (name, KNX group address)
  • App settings (language, appearance)

This data never leaves your device.

3.1 Permissions

The app requires the following Android permission:

  • Internet access (INTERNET): used exclusively for the local UDP connection to the KNX IP gateway on your home network. No connection to the internet.

3.2 Third Parties

The app does not use any analytics tools, advertising services, or third-party SDKs that collect data.

3.3 Children

The app is not directed at children under 16 years of age.

4. Your Rights

Regarding this website's server log files, you have the statutory rights to access, rectification, erasure, and restriction of processing under Art. 15–18 GDPR. These claims do not apply to the app, as no personal data is processed – all app data resides on your device and can be completely removed at any time by uninstalling the app.
